About Us

The North East Liver Foundation Society was launched in the year 2022 under the active supervision of Dr Amitabh Sarmah, a senior consultant of Hepatology and Pancreatology in Guwahati, Assam. With his personal initiatives had been spearheading the fight against Hepatitis B and C since the year 2010, “North East Medicon “an academic event is organized to educate and promote interactions between eminent faculties of the country and medical practitioners of Assam. The society was formed in 2022 but Dr Amitabh Sarmah continued his endeavour even before it’s initiation on a personal level constantly working with the people of the society in creating awareness towards traditional and herbal modes of treatment which led to serious complication in patients suffering from liver diseases. North East Liver Foundation Society was able to associate itself with Liver Foundation of West Bengal pursuing the same objectives over a longer period of time.
